How It Works
 

Our first contact

We can contact each other by phone, fax or email.  We will discuss your needs and your deadline.  I will give you a quote and when you accept the quote we will sign a contract.  Before any work is undertaken however you will pay a deposit to me which is non-refundable.  If on completion you are not entirely satisfied with my work I will refund the money you have paid minus the initial deposit for expenses incurred.

How much it costs

I will charge by the hour for all work undertaken.  Apart from my time I need to charge for the creative content I am adding and materials used.  If you want to receive something by courier this will be an additional charge.

After paying the initial deposit you can pay the rest in either installments or in one lump sum on completion.  If you choose to pay on completion you will not receive any work until you have paid all the money owing to me in full.  For your money you are buying the piece of writing that I produce including the originality and copyright.  You can choose to receive the work on a compact disc which will be couriered to you or as a PDF file which can be emailed to you or I can fax it.

Confidentiality

We sign a non-disclosure agreement in which we agree that nobody need know about our arrangement except you and I.  Only your name will appear on the work, not mine.

Time taken to completion

Deciding how long a project will take depends on the work I am already doing.  Depending on what the project is I will need to do research, the initial draft, an edited draft and the final version.  We can negotiate a timeframe together.

I don't do....

I will not write Resumes, job applications, letters, poetry or any kind of thesis.

Writing webpage copy

Do you need someone to write copy for your company's webpage then maintain and update the webpage on a regular basis? Aren't there lots of other things you could be doing?  I can help you.

Non-fiction articles

I can research and write a non-fiction article on any topic for you and tailor it to the level of your audience.  I can also add high-quality digital photos to the article for illustration if this is what you want.

I can bring your characters to life on the printed page and make your writing sparkle.  I can also find grammatical errors in your writing.
